Information We Collect

My Zodiac collects the information you submit to generate astrology readings, including birth dates, birth times, birth places, current location coordinates when you allow them, horary questions, and compatibility form data.

We also collect basic analytics data such as page views, event type, browser user agent, referrer, and a hashed visitor identifier. This helps us understand which pages and tools are being used.

In the internal metrics view, horary questions are shown without a reading URL or visitor identifier, alongside a coarse location estimate made by rounding coordinates. Obvious email addresses, phone numbers, URLs, and social handles are masked in that view, though names or other identifying details typed into a free-text question may remain. The exact location and original question continue to be stored with the reading to calculate and display the requested result.

If you choose to email yourself a completed reading, the site uses the verified email address available in your browser; the recipient cannot be changed in that request. The email contains the reading and links to view it on the site and explore the other reading tools. The mail server's acceptance of a message does not guarantee delivery to your inbox.

To prevent repeated sends and help troubleshoot email requests, we keep limited delivery records. These contain the reading type, a pseudonymous hash of the recipient address, the request outcome, and timestamps, rather than the reading content. A hash is not fully anonymous and may still be treated as personal data.

If you choose Google Sign-In, Google returns your verified email address, basic profile name, and a stable Google account identifier. We use those details to create or access your My Zodiac account and store the account identity and sign-in timestamps. A verified marketing-subscription record does not sign you in, and Google Sign-In does not create marketing consent.

If you create an account with an email address and password, we store your email, display name, email-verification status, and a password hash. Email verification and password recovery use single-use links that expire after 30 minutes; the database stores token hashes and their expiry and use status, not the link tokens themselves. We also store hashed authentication rate-limit identifiers and attempt counts to help prevent automated account abuse.

If you create a saved profile, we store the birth details you provide for that profile so the account can use them for readings. An account can hold the account owner's profile and up to five additional profiles. Reading history, profile data, subscription status, and credit balances are associated with the account that created them.

How We Use Information

• To generate birth chart readings, daily horoscopes, horary answers, and compatibility reports.
• To confirm an email address you provide and send a completed reading when you explicitly request it.
• To create and secure a My Zodiac account when you choose Google Sign-In.
• To verify an email account, authenticate password sign-ins, and handle password-reset requests.
• To administer a subscription you choose to purchase, including its selected plan, status, billing period, cancellation state, and included reading credits.
• To send an optional daily horoscope email only when you enable that delivery for a verified account address.
• To maintain site functionality, debug errors, and improve the user experience.
• To measure traffic and performance through internal analytics and optional third-party analytics if configured.

Third-Party Services

The site may use external services for language model generation, email delivery, analytics, advertising, payments, or infrastructure. Google Sign-In uses Google to authenticate your account and return the basic profile information you approved. When subscription billing is available, PayPal processes checkout and recurring payments; My Zodiac uses the subscription and transaction information needed to activate and administer the plan. Account verification and password-reset emails are sent through the configured SMTP mail server to the account address. When you request email confirmation for a reading, the verified recipient address is sent through that server. Optional daily horoscope emails use the verified address only when you enable them. Data sent to external services is limited to what is needed for the requested feature.

Data Retention

Generated readings and analytics events may be stored so result pages can be revisited and the service can be improved. Account-owned reading history and saved profiles remain associated with the account and available to that account while it exists, including after a subscription ends. Limited reading-email delivery records are used to prevent repeated sends and troubleshoot requests. You may request removal of a specific generated page if you control the URL and provide enough information to identify it.

Your Choices

You can avoid sharing current location by not granting browser geolocation permission. For astrology tools that require location data, the reading may not be generated without it.
